Happy Holidays to everyone! All my best to you and your families. I hope the weather hasn't been too bad on everyone. It's been great here in Bend, it hasn't stopped snowing in two and a half weeks! I took the Cruiser out of 4WD for the first time this month this morning, and I think it's just a breather before the next system hits.
In other news, I've got a new print available! This one was a long time coming, but I'm really happy with how the printing turned out and it looks great. I've also got paypal setup on the site now, so it won't be such a hassle to order prints.

Some
long overdue updates are the
order of the day. Here's what's
been going on at Stickfort lately:
In
partnership with
POV Gallery, two limited
edition prints of the painting
"Kiddie Cars" are
now available.
Check
here
to inquire about pricing and
details.

Cars" 2008
Also,
an update on the upcoming wave
print. I've been slowly building
the separations for this piece
and it's way behind schedule.
However, it is nearing completion
and I expect to start printing
soon. This print will be hand
screened in 7 colors plus a
layer of varnish. It's going
to be worth the wait!
I also just finished up a small
piece for the Soft
& Furry show at Plastic
Chapel in Denver. The creative
folks over at Cypher
13 masterminded this show,
based on three toy forms they
designed and molded by hand.
I would have loved to take on
all three forms, but in the
end only had time to complete
my Groond
(see show for details). The
original forms were made of
polyurethane, and so were easily
carvable and paintable. The
gallery of all the pieces together
is here.

Groond
I've
got another snowboard design
with Gnu
this year, and this time they
gave me the Altered
Genetics to play with! This
board is packed full of the
whole Mervin
toolkit, with Banana-Traction,
Die-cut graphics, and engineered
core, and some kind of linticular
topsheet. This board is top
shelf, and I was honored to
put my stamp on it. More screenshots
here.

It
got a real nice write-up in
the latest issue of Outside
as well!
Let's
see, what else. Been taking
some really good trips this
year. Snowboarding in Chile
with my sister, and some good
canoe adventures and camping
trips. I finally gave in and
just started posting everything
in my Flickr account here.
So if you want to see what I'm
up to when I'm not drawing,
this is a good place to visit.
Ciao!

Thanks
to everyone for your overwhelming

success. I've got a new one
in the works that should be
available towards the end of
June.
I'm
going to have a few pieces in
a group show at the Together
Gallery in Portland at the
end of this month. Check it

Sorry for the bad photo, I couldn't

It's
been quite a winter this year.
It seems we've had significant
snowfall nearly every week of
the last few months, and the
backcountry has been excellent.
Check here
to see some photos that my compadre
Bryan Ripka shot last thursday.
The
Life
and Limb show went off really
well. I managed to finish all
the pieces by my 8am Friday
cutoff time, and Jen drove a
fairly delirious but ecstatic
artist to Portland in time to
hang everything, grab a nap,
and enjoy the delicious fruits
of a couple of months labor.
It was a fantastic turnout,
with a surprise visit from my
folks, the inlaws, some very
good friends, and my sister
all the way from Chile. Check
out the exhibition
section for some show photos,
and then wander over to the
painting
section to see some closeups.

I've
got a show coming up March 7th
in Portland. All new works in
an all new venue. Molly Quan
of Life
+ Limb has offered up her
wall space for the month of
March. Check out the flyer here.
I'll be mailing postcards out
in the next few weeks, so if
you don't think you're on the
mailing list and would like
to receive one, shoot me an
email or pick one up at the
show. Hope you can all make
it!

Happy
New Year to y'all. This dusty
website has been neglected as
of late, so I figured my first
new year's resolution would
be to update it every once in
a while.
So
much to report. I finally made
some headway with the big update
I've been working on. Mainly,
getting some new work on the
site. So far, we've got all
the Nike work up, and the rest
will come as time permits. Check
out the new illustration section
here.
There
is also a new Available
Works section. There are
a couple of items on there right
now, and I'll be adding more
prints and paintings soon.
We
started the kitchen/studio/living
room/family room/3rd bathroom/dining
room/laundry room remodel back
in June, and it's finally just
about done. What a difference!
Of course, the studio is the
last thing to get finished up,
but with a bit of sheetrock,
some paint, and some shelves,
it's good to go. Itching to
have my full studio space back,
and I can't wait to start painting
full tilt again.
Here's
a couple of shots of the kitchen
as it looks at the moment:

Those
are new french doors leading
into the studio!
I'm
working on a slew of new paintings
for the upcoming show in March
at Life
+ Limb, so stay tuned for
lots of new work coming up.
Cheers!
