So
back in March my buddy BC and
I went on a little montana roadtrip.
We took off on a Monday afternoon,
rolled into Montana about 11pm,
had a tasty quesadilla in a
deserted restaurant, and rolled
into Jerry and Jenny Martin's
place up in Kalispel at 2am.
Rode big mountain two days,
found some pow stashes, sketched
in the pipe, and had a fine
time. Thanks again to Jerry,
Jenny, and Julia for putting
up with us.
From
Kalispell we headed south to
Missoula and met up with another
good friend, Mr. Bryan Ripka.
He was rolling around the country
on a business trip and obliged
us with a floor to sleep on.
Next morning we rose with the
sun and headed out to a little
spot called Discovery Basin,
near Anaconda. This little place
was a gem, full of steep lines
and untouched powder glades
days after the storm. Biggest
damn moguls I've seen in years.
Jetted
over to Bozeman to meet up Jarret
and Amy. Had a nice sunny day
at Big Sky with Bryan and went
out for St. Patrick's day that
night. Sort of, as I was deep
into strep throat by this time.
Went to bed pretty early and
met up with my old buddy Pete
McFadyen of the BSYEP. We tagged
along on one of his outings
and got to ride with the kids
in the program on a marginal
but super fun Bridger Bowl day.
Low visibility but the ridge
was open. I got all sentimental
about old memories and Brock
broadened his horizons a bit.
And
that's pretty much it. Headed
back the next morning. GT's
had by all.
